Join AAFSW on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 10:00am-12:00pm for a Community Coffee & Functional Fitness Anywhere Class at Randolph Towers, Level G1 Community Room.
No matter where you are in this world, you can keep fitness high on your priority list with the skills you'll gain in this class lead by Patricia Linderman, EFM, Wellness Coach and founder of Fierce After 45. The class is appropriate for any fitness level.
Come for the class, stay for the connection. Meet new friends, connect with those you know, and build your local network.
10am-11am: Functional Fitness Anywhere
11am-12pm: Social Time
This will be a casual gathering to bring together members of the U.S. Foreign Affairs community in a welcoming environment. Open to all EFMs, MOH, and FSOs. Children are always welcome.
Randolph Towers is located at 4001 North Ninth Street, Arlington, two blocks from the Ballston Metro. Public parking is not available at Randolph Towers. Paid street parking and paid public parking lots are nearby.

Join us on Friday, September 25, for a guided tour of Arts of Japan at the National Museum of Asian Art! We'll meet in the lobby of the museum at 10:45 am and the one-hour tour will begin at 11 am.
The tour will take us through the museum's renowned collection of Japanese art, which showcases paintings, prints, screens, ceramics, metalwork, and more. You are welcome to explore the rest of the museum after the tour concludes.

Join us at the George C. Marshall Center to support our biggest fundraiser of the year. Help us sell our captivating collection of books, stamps, jewelry, art, textiles, and artifacts from around the world!
The fair will be open to State Department personnel from October 9-18, 2025 and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC on October 10-11 and October 17-18.
We need volunteers starting on October 1 through October 21.
Many volunteer positions are available including: Customer Service, Restocking, Cashiering, Volunteer Support, Courtesy Van Driver, and more (including seated options).
Please Volunteer for multiple days!
Training takes time, so it would be wonderful if you can volunteer for multiple days throughout the Art & BookFair.
New this year: Bonus BookFair credit for volunteering 3 or more days!
It will be held in the George C. Marshall Center at the State Department. The fair will be closed on October 12 for a federal holiday.
