Using Ukraine as an example, the Ambassador will discuss how the EU is changing in the new geopolitical context.
Jovita Neliupšienė is the Ambassador of the European Union to the United States, as of January 1, 2024. She served as Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania from September 2022 until December 2023 and, from 2020 to 2022, she was Vice Minister of Economy and Innovation of Lithuania. In 2020, Ambassador Neliupšienė held the post of Chancellor and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania after five years of serving as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Lithuania to the EU. From 2009 to 2015, she worked as an advisor and chief foreign policy advisor to the President of the Republic of Lithuania. Ambassador Neliupšienė also served as a career diplomat in various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania.
