The Associates of the American Foreign Service Worldwide (AAFSW) and the AAFSW Fun For Funds Fundraising Events Committee cordially invite you to celebrate the spring season with a wonderful excursion and a Special Chocolate Lovers’ Afternoon Tea at the historic Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.

Please drive on your own or arrange for carpool with your friends and meet us in the lobby of the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, Virginia at 1:45 p.m. to enjoy a Special Chocolate Lovers’ Tea from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m., followed by a self-guided tour of this beautiful and historic hotel. During the tea service, you will also enjoy a presentation and a fabulous surprise from Clive Christian Perfumes by AAFSW member, Mr. Maciej Szumny. Clive Christian Perfumes is a luxury brand from England, which dates from 1872, when Queen Victoria commissioned an order for perfume for herself and her beloved husband Prince Albert, and granted her crown to be used on the perfume bottles to this day.

Earlier in the morning, you can meet us for an optional self-guided tour of the historic St. John’s Church in Richmond, Virginia at 11:00 a.m. to see where Patrick Henry gave his famous “Give me liberty or give me death” speech (additional $8.00).

After that, you can meet us for an optional guided tour in front of the Virginia State Capitol in Richmond, Virginia at 12:30 p.m. For this, you can park at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (8th St. and Franklin St.), which costs $15, cash only.
This event will be on a first come, first served basis. Please send your check made out to AAFSW for $50.00 (AAFSW members) or $55.00 (non AAFSW members) to: AAFSW, 4001 North Ninth Street, Suite #214, Arlington, VA 22203. Due to space limitations and necessary advanced reservations, your check, when received, is your reservation. It should be received no later than Monday, March 20, 2017.
