AAFSW is celebrating 60 years of Art and BookFair! Watch our special anniversary commemoration:

A glimpse of the annual Art and BookFair presented by AAFSW.
AAFSW’s Annual Art and BookFair (ABF)
takes place every October (second and third weekends) in the Exhibition Hall and main courtyard of the State Department in Washington, DC. Thousands of used books, art objects, jewelry, paintings, collectibles, stamps and coins are available. All items are donated by Foreign Service families and friends of AAFSW who have traveled overseas. It’s a wonderful place to shop for unusual and unique gifts.
There is a wide range of books from architecture to zoology and many subjects in between. Collector’s Corner has special books of greater value. For philatelists, the Stamp Corner is just the place to go. Every year is different and exciting.
Admission is free, and the public is invited on weekends. Books are half price on the last day.
The proceeds from the Art and BookFair go to a number of worthy causes–scholarships for Foreign Service and Civil Service students, continuing education scholarships for spouses and partners, Foreign Service projects such as the Foreign Service Youth Foundation and other community projects. Over the years, the AAFSW has given away over a million dollars.
VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and checks are accepted.
