Advocacy
AAFSW has been an advocate for Foreign Service families and helped found the Global Community Liaison Office and Overseas Briefing Center.

Art and BookFair
AAFSW’s annual Art and BookFair (ABF) takes place every fall at the State Department in Washington, DC.

BookStore
The AAFSW BookStore is where second hand books are sold at the State Department.

EFM Employment
AAFSW advocates for EFM employment in and outside the mission.

Evacuee Support
Since the 1980s, AAFSW’s Evacuee Support Network (ESN) has assisted evacuees from post to the Washington, DC area.

Foreign Born Spouses
The AAFSW Foreign Born Spouses Group is a close-knit group of members from various cultures and countries.

Foreign Service Hub
AAFSW’s one stop site for all Foreign Service-relevant links.

Fun for Funds
AAFSW’s Fun for Funds committee hosts events for members and guests to raise funds for AAFSW.

Online Housing Office
AAFSW’s Housing Office is a site where Foreign Service families who are relocating to the DC area can search for find housing within the community. FS families may also advertise their property.

Oral History Project
The AAFSW Spouse Oral History Collection is housed at the Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training (ADST) at the George P. Shultz National Foreign Affairs Training Center in Arlington, Virginia.

Programs
The AAFSW Programs Committee presents programs and cultural events for our members and the diplomatic community.

Spouses in Transition
AAFSW offers advice to Foreign Service spouses/partners who are experiencing separation and/or divorce.
