AAFSW is ready to get back to resume our programs in person and warmly welcome you to our new season with a beautiful and unique event.
I hope you enjoyed a lovely summer. We all miss getting together with our friends, and finally we are ready to resume our first in person program of the season. It will be a joyful event seeing all of you and learning and enjoying a wonderful Cultural program kindly hosted by the H.E. Dr.Asad Maheed Khan, ambassador of the of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who will introduce us to the rich history and traditions of this unique and interesting country, followed by a tour through a Photographic exhibit.
The event will take place on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Pakistan Embassy, located in u3517 International Court NW, Washington DC 20008.

H.E. Dr. Asad Maheed Khan a career Foreign Service Officer presented his credentials as a Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States of America to President Trump on January 11. 2019.
H.E.Dr. Khan served as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Japan from August 2017.Served as Additional Foreign Secretary (Americas) from August 2016 to July 20: Some of his many other positions; Director General (Americas) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from June 2016 to August 2016. In his capacity, he was the focal point for relations with the United States of America covering all its aspect. Director General (West Asia) in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from September 2015 to February 2016. In this capacity, he was the focal point of ECO and responsible for overseeing Pakistan’s bilateral relations with Iran, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Dr. Asad earned his Doctorate in International Economic and Business Law (LL.D.) from Kyushu University Japan and has been a resource person at various academic institutions in Pakistan including International Islamic University, Lahore, University of Management Sciences, Foreign Trade Institute of Pakistan and Foreign Services Academy on International Trade, Law and WTO affairs.
