Event Recap: ASEAN Cultural Program

On October 30, 2023, the Associates of the American Foreign Service Worldwide (AAFSW) and the Asian Women’s Circle (AWC) hosted a splendid cultural program to celebrate the diversity and richness of the Southeast Asian Nations. The program featured vibrant culture, dances, music, and songs from ten Asian countries and members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

ASEAN is a regional organization that fosters cooperation and peace among its members. The event highlighted the importance of dialogue and harmony among different peoples and cultures in a world that urgently needs peace. The program was attended by 450 guests from the diplomatic community, AAFSW members, and guests mesmerized by over 80 artists and performers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
