A “one of a kind” fashion show featuring women ambassadors and ambassadors’ spouses selected from several continents who will model designer creations from their respective countries.

AAFSW, in collaboration with Jan Du Plain, Du Plain Global Enterprises, and Indira Gumarova, Czech Republic, cordially invites you to join us at this first one-of-a-kind “Glamour & Diplomacy” Fashion show, celebrating contemporary designers from around the world, on Tuesday, April 9 at 10:30 a,m. In the Dean Acheson Auditorium at the State Department.

Please RSVP by Monday, April 1 to office@aafsw.org or 703-820-5420. All attendees without a State Department badge will need to provide a driver’s license or passport number and their date of birth as required by State Department security.

The charge for the program is $50.00 per person. Please send a check (made out to AAFSW) to AAFSW Reservations, 4001 9th Street North, Street, Suite 214, Arlington VA, 22203. Guests may also pay on the AAFSW website. On the AAFSW home page, scroll down to find the PayPal “Donate” button on the right sidebar of the home page. You do not need a PayPal account, but may pay with your credit card as a guest.

Please enter at 23rd Street NW entrance (between C and D Streets NW) of the Department of State. Doors open at 9:30 am.

Parking & Metro

There is limited metered street parking around the State Department. Columbia Plaza usually has parking available; it is located on the corner of 23rd Street and Virginia Avenue (with entrances on Virginia Avenue and E Street). It is expensive at around $24 for 3 hours.

The nearest Metro is Foggy Bottom, about 6 blocks away (Blue, Orange & Silver lines).

The reception will start at 10:30 a.m. and the program at 11:00 a.m. sharp.
