AAFSW is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Bold Story Press to publish a collection of stories about life in the American Foreign Affairs community at home and overseas, called AAFSW’s Essays: Stories of Life in American Foreign Affairs (working title).

Emily Barrosse, former McGraw Hill Editor–in-Chief and founder of Bold Story Press, will be offering two publishing webinars to our community in August.

If you are a writer interested in learning more about publishing, please join Emily for the Bold Story Press publishing webinar on September 20, 2023, at 7:00 pm ET. In this Zoom webinar, Emily will provide a comprehensive overview of the publishing process for writers. Attendees will learn more about the different types of publishers available to writers and the advantages and disadvantages of each option. This free webinar is a must-attend for aspiring authors wanting to learn more about the options available for publishing their books.

The second webinar is for those interested in learning more about the proposed anthology, AAFSW Essays: Stories of Life in American Foreign Affairs. Also on Zoom, this discussion will be held on October 6, 2023, at 12:00 pm ET. At this event, Emily and I will provide more information for members interested in writing and contributing stories about their life experiences in the American Foreign Affairs community.

A publishing expert with over 35 years of experience in the traditional publishing industry, Emily started Bold Story Press as a hybrid press in 2022. Neither a traditional publisher nor a self-publishing business, Bold Story Press provides authors with a third option for publishing. With their team of experts, each with 20+ years of traditional publishing experience, Bold Story Press publishes a curated list of high-quality books each year.

Wishing you a Happy Summer!
