Valentine’s Day Musical Program on February 11

The Associates of the American Foreign Service Worldwide (AAFSW) cordially invites you
to a “Valentine’s Day Musical Program” to celebrate love, peace, and friendship on Monday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the Burns Auditorium at the George Marshall Center of the State Department in Washington, D.C.

We are featuring an amazing musical performer: Rafael Javadov, violinist and pianist, Founder and Artistic Director of the Ethno Musical Orchestra. He is a solo act, and plays a fusion of European, African, and Latin music. He has a unique dimensional style that fluctuates from a tight beat to jazz, and elevates to complexity of a classical composition.

Rafael entertained and performed for AAFSW at the State Department a few years back and thrilled the heart and soul of everyone present.

Rafael started his musical education at the age of five and at 10 he entered a Special Tchaikovsky Music School under the Moscow Conservatory, and from that moment he grew immensely in his musical talent, and it is beyond enjoyment a thrill to hear him playing violin, piano, and other musical instruments.

Even though Rafael’s performance is a solo act, it sounds as if an entire orchestra is accompanying his performance while he playing either the violin or piano. The second the sound hits the ear it opens the doors and windows of the soul and the music travels through the blood and one feels dancing elevated in space.

Do not miss Rafael’s Javadov performance, a musical talent in your presence and a present from AAFSW, so, please sign up to attend this most amazing performance!

RSVP to AAFSW at office@aafsw.org no later than Friday, February 8 and send us your driver’s license number or passport number and date of birth to submit to the Office of Security in the State Department. In addition, please send a check made out to AAFSW for $10:00 to AAFSW Reservations at 4001 North Ninth Street, Suite 214, Arlington VA, 22203.

Please come to the 21st Street NW entrance of the Department of State, close to the corner of “D” Street. As you enter rather than reporting to the main desk, please go to the table to your left where one of our members will check you in.

We look forward to seeing you.
