Empowerment, Not Willpower: Combating Cravings, Snacking and Social Eating

Delicious food is everywhere, especially during social occasions. How can you set appropriate limits for yourself, without feeling deprived or appearing rude?

This 1.5 hour workshop will help empower you to make choices that support your own health, no matter what’s on the table or in the fridge, or what others are doing. You’ll learn strategies to quiet
cravings, avoid unhelpful snacking, and truly enjoy social events, regardless of what you’re eating or drinking. The workshop includes fun practice exercises and role playing, so you can apply what you’ve learned and get ready to use it in the real world.

Tuesday, March 26, 10-11:30 a.m., Randolph Towers Community Room, Level G-1, 4001 North Ninth Street, Arlington, VA 22203.

Your presenter is Patricia Linderman of “Fierce After 45” Transformational Health Coaching — but you don’t have to be over 45 to benefit from this workshop! This is the third in a new series of
popular AAFSW workshops to promote wellness in the Foreign Service community.

The workshop is free with a suggested donation of $5 for materials.

RSVP to office@aafsw.org. Hope to see you there!
