EQUALITY FOR WOMEN = PROSPERITY FOR ALL
Tuesday, May 19, 10:30 am
Burns Auditorium , George Marshall Center
Department of State

We trust that you are all well, and eager to go back soon to your normal activities and see your friends. The situation with the coronavirus, COVID-19, required us to postpone our March and April events, but we hope that by May we will be able to resume holding our programs.

AAFSW cordially invites you to join us for a very informative and important presentation entitled “Equality for Women = Prosperity for All,” which will take place on Tuesday, May 19th at 10:30 a.m. featuring Augusto Lopez-Claros, a well-known and respected international economist.

Mr. Lopez-Claros is a much-sought-after international speaker, having lectured at some of the world’s leading universities and think tanks. He has written several publications authored and co-authored, and lectured extensively on a wide range of topics in his field, including (co-authored with Bahiyyih Nakhjavani) Equality for Women = Prosperity for All. This year, he just published a book on global governance (co-authored with Arthur Dahl and Maja Groff).

RSVP by Friday, May 15th to office@aafsw.org or 703-820-5420 to register. All attendees without a State Department badge will need to provide a Driver’s License or passport number and their Date of Birth to submit to the Office of Security at the State Department. The charge for the program is $5.00 for AAFSW members and $10.00 for non-members, to cover catering costs. Please send your information and a check (made out to AAFSW) to our headquarters at 4001 9thStreet North, Suite 214, Arlington VA, 22203.

Please come to the 21st Street NW entrance of the Department of State (between C Street and Virginia Avenue NW). As you enter, rather than reporting to the main desk, please go to the table to your left where one of our members will check you in.

We will have an informal coffee (and tea) social time, which begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by the presentation beginning at 11:00 a.m. We will keep you informed of any changes regarding the date. Keep safe and healthy.
We look forward to seeing you.
