The celebration of the birth of Jesus, the customs of the ancient pagans, and the legends of St.
Nicholas create a mélange of folkways and religion that make our Christmas holiday season a
joyful one.
The Associates of the American Foreign Service Worldwide and Foreign-Born Spouses cordially
invite you and your spouse to join us to celebrate this special holiday by sharing your customs,
traditions, and food. Please come to a fun Christmas party, with music, door prizes, and chestnuts
on the fireplace on Saturday December 9 from 6:30 PM. To 9:30 PM, in the Community Room
of the Randolph Towers building (level G-1) at 4001 North Ninth Street, Arlington. VA 22203.
The Ballston Metro is only 2 blocks away. Parking is available on the street, or parking in the
Ballston Mall garage is very economical.
Please RSVP, if possible, by December 7 to office@aafsw.org, and please let us know what
food you are contributing to the party. If you would like to participate in a gift exchange bring a
