With an M.A. in Education, she has taught English as a Second Language in Europe, Africa, and the U.S. She has also worked as a newsletter editor, cross-cultural trainer, curriculum developer and educational writer. Her medical background includes working in Medical-Surgical, Operating Room, and Hospice nursing.
